President Obama , Michael Douglas , Bees and other news of the week

Greetings to all you hubbers out there. I have been feeling somewhat lazy this week which is nothing new . I also wanted to get started on another hub however NBA playoff basketball has interrupted my writing schedule and for those of you who are familiar with my drivel , you know I will use any excuse to take in some serious lounging time. And the Lakers games seemed like a golden opportunity to indulge in my favorite pastime , full on relaxation ! :) . However that being said , as I have been perusing the news during pregame analysis I have found some mighty juicy little nuggets that just absolutely have to be addressed. So to those of you who drop in regularly expecting more great writing I apologize. And to those of you who might have accidentally come by my hub I apologize as well ! But I just wanted to share some insights on more crazy news of the week and have you share your thoughts on them. And here now is our subject matter !

#1- I want to give a huge shout out to the actor Michael Douglas. We all are more then familiar with Michael's work in " Wall Street " and one of my favorites "Fatal Attraction ". But the reason I want to give kudos to one of the Hollywood Elite is because Michael Douglas refused to sign a petition that was going around the Cannes film festival in France in support of pedophile Roman Polanski. And was very blunt in stating the Mr. Polanski blatantly broke the law. My jaw dropped ! A Hollywood celebrity who actually stands for principle ? You could have knocked me over with a feather! Good for you Michael ! Of course there were the vocal supporters including Jean Luc Godard , and Matheiu Amalric a couple of high profile French Directors. What is up with these French people ? I guess sex with a 13 year old is cool over there ! And by no surprise Woody Allen was one of Romans biggest cheerleaders. Because as we all know Woody is the Roman Polanski of east coast movie directors. Oh well I still rank " Annie Hall " as one of the best movies ever made. So Michael all I gotta say is way to go dude ! But please do not do a Fatal Attraction 2 or remake Romancing the Stone , please ?

And as a sidebar Woody also believes that our Apologizer in Chief Barack Obama would make an excellent dictator for awhile. Now Woody I want to know exactly what you have been smokin. It has been 30 years or so for me but I want some of that smoke !

#2- On a story from " The Hill " on Monday as Obama was trying to make his way over to Fort Mcnair to shoot some hoop the White House was attacked by a swarm of thousands of Bees. So first off I gotta say that I am sure glad there were not any oil spills or border problems to worry about that day so our Apologizer in Chief could work on his J and rebounding skills. And in response to the failed siege from the Bees Janet Napalitano immediately put the bees on the " Right Wing Extremist " watchdog list as it was obvious to anybody that those bees were members of the Tea Party ! Of course for the obvious reasons the bees could not be put on the " No Fly List ". I believe the FBI have surveillance on the bees at this time. I know I feel safer !

#3- Well would,nt you know it the Miss America pageant has made the news again ! And of course another hot blonde patriot ended up rockin the boat ! Morgan Elizabeth Woolard made quite a splash when she voiced her support for Arizona law SB1070. And of course she also voiced her support for no racial profiling which any clear thinking Individual should support ! But many believe that her answer cost her the crown. It is almost a carbon copy of Carrie Prejean supporting marriage between one man and one woman. And it was Interesting that Ms. Prejean lost her crown because of her stance on the Issue. And the real shocker was the woman that replaced her also believed in quote unquote " opposite marriage ". Although of course that did not dominate the news. Miss Michigan won the contest a young lady of Muslim origin named Rima Fakih. Who also was found pole dancing at a strip club , although she was not naked dammit ! Now all I gotta say is I could care less if Miss America is a muslim or not. As some of the white supremacists among us got highly upset she won. Not that big a deal to me though. Man that pageant has been creating some buzz lately. Maybe I better start watchin !

 As most of you know since I have been here at HP one of my major rants since day one is the need for all of us to vote out all incumbents as they are nothing short of abject failures ! And I have had this stance long before this administration ever took over the White House. Well lo and behold Arlen Specter not sure which party he belongs to lost his candidacy when he lost in the primaries this week . All I gotta say is right on ! These empty suits in Washington DC have been around just to damn long and done irrepairable damage to our country. Good for you Pennsylvania ! Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying that America is in an anti Incumbent mood. Geez Nancy ,ya think ?

Richard Blumenthal you suck ! I cannot believe that the DNC is still giving you props and support.  You wonder why everyone does not trust Government ? But with his qualifacations he is a natural for the senate !

It was reported that neither Janet Napalitano nor Eric Holder had read SB1070 from Arizona even though they were busy damning the bill . Why is anyone surprised ? We know damn well people in Washington DC don't read bills ! They pass them to see what is in them. And besides these two are busy trying to destroy the US and that takes time ! Apparently not as much as I thought though.  

Jan Brewer good for you ! I like a person that stands up to the man !

I'm glad Pavarati did not win " Survivor " again. That gal is the equivalent of Castor Oil flavored soda to me ! I would rather have painful dental surgery then have to ever talk with her.

And with all due respect for the Great State of Arizona . GO LAKERS !!!!!
