News from the Week. 2010 is sure starting to look like 2009

Good morning hubbers. It is a peaceful Sunday morning and I hope that each and every one of you is getting a good positive start on the New Year. My year is off to the usual bumpy beginning. It only took me till last Tuesday for people to get on my nerves ! And my co workers are already grating my last nerve. Aside from that everything else still strongly resembles 2009. And just like in my life it seems DC and other parts of the state are getting off to a bumpy start as well. I just thought I would share some of the lowlights of the week with you.

# 1 Arnold says that the Healthcare bill is a rip off ! No kidding ? He called Senator Ben Nelson out and said the concessions he made amounted to a payoff. No kidding ? Arnold all of America knows this is the worst healthcare plan that could be bought with Chinese money ! And Arnold the astute observer will say on " Meet The Press " this morning how the Dems bought Nelsons vote. And how we do not do that in California. What ? The unions in California have all but broken our great state , someone is getting something ! Anyhoo now I will probably get to pay taxes on my healthcare plan as any healthcare plan that exceeds $8500.00 is considered a Cadillac healthcare plan. And if your coverage exceeds that threshold you will be taxed on it or your employer. Translation bye bye heallthcare ! Thanks loads Dems ! More taxes, who woulda thunk it ? Oh by the way I was just curious remember all those tax cuts we were promised on the campaign trail by Mr. Obama ? Where are they ?

#2 The Weather - As we are experiencing global warming that is unprecedented most of the nation is freezing their asses off ! Being fortunate enough to live in San Diego I am one of the fortunate few who is actually comftorable at the moment meanwhile a cold snap is gripping the nation and going as far south as Alabama and Florida. Expect your morning Orange juice to go up in price exponentially ! Also China is and much of the planet is experiencing the same. So warmers some of these temperature s are new records. My question , how is CO2 playing a part in this ? Now I will say that no matter my skepticism on global warming I still intend to keep my carbon footprint low and do my part to keep the planet clean . But I emit CO2 , but hey I gotta breathe !

#3 Free Speech - Two Minnesota prosecutors have decided not to press charges against a man who put up anti muslim signs near a mosque and a Somali store. While I would never engage in such an action myself nor do I agree with anti muslim rhetoric I will say good ! And here is why , Christians have been taking plenty of beatings in the public landscape in particular in the last 15 years or so. And when people denegrate them no one bats an eyelash ! So if you get to criticize one group without any consequences , you should damn well be able to criticize another group. That is equality And seriously who has earned the right for that criticism more ?  Both prosecutors felt that the mans actions were protected free speech so therefore they would not seek to prosecute. Wow Government observing the constitution ? All I gotta say is cheers to Janelle Kendall and Robert Raupp for not knuckling under to the politically correct crowd !

#4 Sheila Dixon leaves the Mayors office - Baltimore Mayor Shiela Dixon has resigned from her office after she put in a guilty plea for perjury charges. As some of you are aware I wrote a little hub about her after she took it upon herself to use gift cards for the poor given to her by a donor of hers. And I say thank God ! Lets get a dirty politician out of office before they get to powerful ! You can see it on a hub I wrote a while ago ! It Is nice to see justice once in awhile !

# 5Harry Reid - Part of the Democratic axis of evil Harry Reid put his foot in his mouth when he called our President and I quote " As  light skinned with no Negro dialect ". So Harry continues his deathmarch towards the ending of his political career in lame fashion no surprise here ! Even his own state can't stand him ! So of course he is doing the usual backpeddle and quick shuffle in order to salvage his less then stellar reputation. I cannot wait to see him and Dodd and more then likely Barbara Boxer out of the political arena. I mean Harry has a 52% disapproval from his own constituency ! I cannot stand looking at the guy myself. Harry please go away.

Well folks these are the lowlights of the week for now. But I would like to close by saying that we all know times are tough , but I have always been a firm believer in the resilience of the human spirit. So I just wanna say let's all hang in there and work together for a change. Tough times make tough people and when we get out the other side of our collective calamity we will be better people for it. Happy Sunday to you hubbers !
