Greetings folks . As most of you are aware I rarely foray into the world of pop culture as I find that there are many more pressing matters that your humble correspondent must deal with that have more social significance. However I am not an all work no play type of guy. And like any red blooded male with a pulse I have a total love of the best Invention God has created , the woman. Also like the rest of us I do love the escape of a good movie or TV show on occasion. Football season has been over for a couple of months so I have been feeling somewhat like an Orphan. But there never fails to be a woman that catches the eye and could even make me watch Sesame Street . And today I would like to present to you good folks my top ten of who I consider to be hot ! And I will present them in numerical order of my crush level. Some I am sure you have heard of some you may have not , but after the presentation I am sure you will agree God did good work here !
#10- Meryl Streep- I realize Meryl is gettin up there in years . But what can I say ? Certain people have that IT factor and Meryl Streep even today still has that certain something that makes me dreamy , and it was always that way since I first saw her in " The Deer Hunter " to even when I saw her in the movie " A Prairie Home Companion ". She is a fine singer . Her acting credentials are without debate. And above all else is just crushworthy as far as this guy is concerned !
#9 - Lena Olin - Lena is another one who was always on the cusp of being big but never seemed to quite make the ascent to bonafide bigtime actress. But I remember when I first saw her in the movie "Romeo Is Bleeding " with Gary Oldman and Annabella Sciorra I was Immediately smitten. She also did a movie with Johnny Depp called " The Ninth Gate " and was totally sexy in that. But I think her downfall was " Sheena Queen of the Damned ". Nothin is a career killer like a bad vampire movie ! But she remains the model of a sexy older woman to me !
# 8 - Michelle Yeoh - This is another one of those women who definitely has that IT factor. My first crush on her was in a Jackie Chan movie that I cannot think of the name of at this time. But " Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon " with Chow Yun Fat was also an excellent showcase of her beauty along with the movie " Memoirs of a Geisha ". She was in the latest installment of the Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser so at least there is one reason to watch the latest mummy movie ! :)
# 7- Jennifer Aniston - Yup that's right Rachel from " Friends " is now a member of the over 40 club now and this guy here would be more then happy to welcome her to the throng ! And she of all of the set here is probably the most mainstream of my set of Cougars as she seems to be most prevalent on the covers of magazines at my local 7-11. And while alot of her movies are lets face it folks forgettable , she never fails to keep me watchin in spite of the mediocre entertainment value. But she has that girl next door quality and has always been a heart throb for me !
# 6 - Kelly Hu- Now you might be thinkin to yourself , T who the heck is Kelly Hu ? Well my heartthob Kelly has done a few movies and quite a few television shows. She has never seemed to find that one big hit that put her in the mainstream spotlight. I first saw her in the Don Johnson series " Nash Bridges " where she played a police Inspector. And her biggest mainstream movie was with " The Rock " Dwayne Johnson in " The Scorpion King " . I saw her in a B movie from 2009 called " Tournament " and the movie was kinda your predictable testerone filled violent action caper. However it is my opinion that by virtue of her appearance in the movie she should get an Oscar nod just because she is Kelly Hu ! My dream girl for sure !

# 5 - Angela Bassett - I saw this movie called " Strange Days " with Ralph Fiennes that was one of the trippiest quasi Sci Fi movies I had ever come across. And in it was a perfectly sculpted heart throb named Angela Bassett. And I was immediately smitten. I even watched " Stella got her Groove Back " just to stare at Angela and that hardly qualifies as a guy movie ! But for your humble correspondent here Angela Bassett oozes animal magnetism and I cannot stop watching !
#4 - Gina Gershon - Well into her Cougar years Gina Gershon never fails to be an absolute stunner in just about anything she does. I even saw her in an episode from that Larry David TV show on HBO " Curb Your Enthusiasm " where she played a small part and showed a few comedic chops and would have kept it permanently DVRed had I known how to operate that feature on my TV at that time.
# 3 - Teri Hatcher - I do not spend alot of time watching " Desperate Housewives " or for that matter much TV at all. But aside from Eva Longoria of the over 40 bunch on the set of that show there is one who is a stunner above all of them and that would definitely be Teri Hatcher. And plus Teri Hatcher also has a sense of humor and I like a sense of humor as I am far to serious for my own good ! I had a crush on her from the time I first saw her on " Lois and Clark " all those many years ago. Nothins changed !
# 2 - Salma Hayek - What can I say besides " Muy Caliente ". Salma Hayek just oozes sexuality without even tryin. I first saw her in that Robert Rodriguez flick " Desperados " and then when she was in that other Rodriguez flick where she starred alongside Quentin Tarantino called " From Dusk till Dawn " it was all over for the brotha here ! And I have had my teenage crush ever since. Those latin women have always been a hot number and she is the hottest of the bunch ! That is why she was my cover girl on my hub " My new and Improved Political Hubs " which to date still has the most pageviews of the hubs I have written , go figure !
#1 - Gong Li - This is beyond the shadow of a doubt in your humble correspondents mind the sexiest over 40 woman on the planet without question. Gong Li is probably not as well known here stateside. She did have a role in Michael Manns stinkeroo called " Miami Vice ". But she also had one of the prevalent parts in " Memiors of a Geisha " as well. I also am a fan of some asian cinema as well and Gong Li is the Meryl Streep of the eastern cultures ! And I will always stop what I am doin to sit down and stare at her because I consider that a worthwhile use of my time. The sexiest woman on the planet as far as I am concerned ! Gong PLEEAASE call me ! Or at least leave a comment

Ghost yes I am almost at the age where my breakfast at Dennys might be a little cheaper. Oddly though I feel nowhere near the age that I am. I still rock and roll and am still pretty feisty ! And Ghost I would not argue with either choice !

Unfortunately for you my friend, the concept of cougarthood (or is it cougardom?) is older woman - younger man. Cougars don't go after older men, say those in their 40s! or they'll lose the cougar label. And again unfortunately for you, when you go after younger women, the babes, you're not called some sexy big cat lie panther or some other. I think the term used would be DOM (I don't think I'd have to spell that out! Haha)

Cris I gotta agree with ya , Gong Li is definitely the 8th wonder of the world. I could not have stated any better myself. Tony, these are great picks. You are obviously a man of great taste! I also feel like if they look like _that_ after 40, they deserve to. (Not that I am opposed to younger women--but there is just something about women around or over 40). I think the only woman I would add to this list off the top of my head is Halle Berry. Oh, right, and it is easy to forget that Marisa Tomei is over 40. Wow. ("Wow" means "Wow, I just saw the Wrestler.").
My wife is thrilled that I like older women. I keep telling her that she's great as she is, only needs a bit of ripening...
